Hull Rust Mine Statement

The Hull Rust mine is one of the largest open-pit mines in the world. Having once contained large quantities of iron ore, the mine continues operations today with massive machinery extracting taconite from the earth. I am studying the identity of the Hull Rust Mine through satellite imagery. I use rock, water, and steel to create drawings that explore the mine landscape.
